We came out of winter with 7 hives. After adding 2nd deep boxes, checkerboarding and making splits we now have 10 single deep hives and 3 nucs. I’m letting the splits raise new queens and will be monitoring those hives to make sure they were successful. Have added honey supers to the stronger hives. Plan to do mite sampling shortly and will treat with oxvap as needed.
