Inspected all hives this morning. Had one deadout in the home hives. Another had a spotty brood pattern and weak population so I’m continuing to feed and monitor. All others were queenright with good bee populations. Numbers 4 & 5 have honey supers and are bringing in some nectar. All others are double deeps except for the one slow growing nuc at Leon EO. I did a mite check on all hives using a Varroa Easy Check with green windshield washer fluid. I found no mites in any of the samples. Am going to ask Jeff Pippin to check them again when he is here for our July meeting.
It’s very hot and humid these days so let’s bee careful out there. As Dustin Proffitt recently posted “hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and be careful of the way you talk to me”
