Got 4 queens from Josh Ray for the Leon hives. Split the two double deeps on Friday 08/01 but couldn’t find Queen cells in any of the boxes. The splits were both weak so I shook bees in from the parent hives and will check for Queen cells later. I split the weak 10 frame at my house on Friday and found numerous queen cells in each split today so I added new queens to both. The Leon nuc finally showed a spurt of growth so I moved it into a 10 frame box with drawn comb. My intent was to replace the queen but I couldn’t find her. Will go back in after the storm and install the two remaining Josh queens where needed.
