Here we are on the 3rd of March and it's already 77 degrees. This double brood box is full of bees. I put in a queen excluder between the two on Sunday so that I could confirm where the queen was when I split this coming weekend. However, I'm thinking with all this activity on the box and on the face of it they may be getting ready to swarm before I'm ready to split. That day I saw drones, but didn't see any queen cells What do you think?

You have a small entrance so they may just be waiting to get in. With that kind of population I'd go ahead and give them a larger opening.
